David got a fantastic barbeque from his Mum for his birthday and all the accessories from his sisters. The only problem is we had to put it together ourselves and it was really complicated. David tried it first and gave up after half an hour. I gave it a crack and I think it took me about 6 hours in total, but finally it was ready! At least I had a bit more patience than David who said he wanted to take it back, because ‘something must be missing’.

We had our first barbeque together (I’ve only been in Australia for 5 years!!!) and as well as throwing a couple of vegan snags on the barbie, David made pepper and tempeh kebabs and yummy sweet chilli mushrooms. I could eat like this every day! It turns out David is quite the chef. Here he is all proud of his new barbeque. Thank you Maura!
